The Canyon, Flagstaff and Deer...

Sorry for the lack of posts - I've been busy driving across America. Since the last post, we've done the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff and a million other places I can't remember right now!

Giant Pizza, The Hoover Dam, Vegas and Kingman...

After consuming a giant slice in downtown LA, we headed to Vegas for thrift stores. Someone told Garth they were great...which was a slight exaggeration. I did get a thirties style dress and some oxfords, which you'll see later...

Then we headed to the Hoover Dam, and Kingman. There just happened to be a hot rod show and six or seven vintage/antique stalls, so both of us were well satisfied! I got some great old photos and some glasses, a 40's dress,a 50's skirt and a thirties style dress. (photos to come...)

We stayed here for the hot rod show and street drags...





Kingman wins my award for nice people and cheap vintage so far!

Sofft Shoes - Valentina. $99 USD. Hmmm. They'll have to wait till I get back to LA and see if I have the funds...

We leave for our West Coast road trip tomorrow - thrift stores ahoy!

Spring has Sprung!

Today was such beautiful weather and the flower tree in our yard is well and truly in bloom. I wore my 40's dress and pincurls, with my new bakelite hair slide that I bought in Melbourne.

USA all the way...

We're flying to America in a week, landing at LA airport and we need to get to NYC in 17 or so days. Any US readers...where should we go for vintage dresses, old photos and cheap antiques?

Melbourne..we're moving!

So I'm moving to Melbourne. We both got our dream jobs and love the city. I mean, look at these buildings!









We're going to live in St Kilda.

I've been away from blogging lateley - I'm in Melbourne! Garth had his interview at Rancho Deluxe, (a traditional hot rod shop) and got it! We weren't sure what I was going to do, but I was walking along the street in St Kilda and a lady in a cute vintage dress and cardigan called me in off the street. We got chatting and she offered me a job at her vintage store! eeee! pics later..
