It was a very brown day today... I wore my 40's "All American Rayon" dress, my trusty target NYC cardigan and this lovely brown felt hat. Sorry about the super grainy pictures...Don't know what happened there!

Yesterday, I met this little girl at the laundromat. She asked if she could keep the cardboard box that my recent ebay purchase (pics soon) arrived in. I said yes, so she wore it around on her head. When I pointed out to her that it looked like the box had a face, she said "It's a silly face. He has no nose." I thought it was cool anyway.



In other news, we found this on the side of the road. Welcome home, old cabinet!

Sewing Tutorial: Bunting!

Everyone loves bunting. You know, those little flags strung together that remind you of circuses, carnivals and other frivolous events? I know I do. So, let's make some.

Ta Da! It's like a circus in my living room. Excellent.

I am currently waiting for these to arrive.

They are from Topshop, which is the last place I thought I'd ever buy something from (besides maybe Hot Topic), but I saw them on an English backpacker here and asked her where she bought them. She said Topshop, and directed me to their online store. In 6-8 working days, they will be mine. Hurrah!

Sunday Score!

We worked hard all week. Then, we got up at 5:30am. On our day off. To go to the Camberwell Markets. As you can see, it was quite dark, so I didn't really get an outfit photo, but I took the pants out for a spin.

Postcards From The Stars...

I've been meaning to post these for ages, so here they are. It seems that Janet Wanger (unfortunate surname alert!) wrote to the stars asking for their pictures. These are what she received in reply. The post marks indicate that the were sent between November 14th, 1950 and April 11th, 1952.
