Wedding anniversary and the first sewing project of the year...

It was our 3 and a half year wedding anniversary on new year's day. We recently visited Garth's parent's house on Mt Tambourine, which is where we were married. It was a rainy day, but I managed to get some good photos of the place...

We look so young!!

And on a totally different note...I bought this 30's dress a while ago on ebay, but the fit is strange and it is falling apart...

Just look at those details! Pin tucks, self covered buttons, side zip, peterpan collar, piping, a little bow!
If it goes well, I might make this style available in the etsy store...stay tuned!

  1. happy anniversary!

that 30s dress is soooo sweet!

  2. Happy Anniversary! Where abouts on the mountain did you get married? I have always wanted to get married on Mount Tambourine. I love the Cedar Creek Vineyard.

  3. we got married at the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on the mountain, then went back to the house for the reception, which is on Paradise Drive, Eagle Heights. It's so pretty!

  4. Congrats on your anniversary! Great pictures, you guys look so very happy. Thanks for sharing the pictures, it is freezing cold here (in the single digits) and even a picture of warmer weather helps.

Love the fabric of that vintage dress - too bad the fit is so funky, but maybe you can fix it up!

  5. happy anniversary!! your wedding pictures are so lovely!! and your dress with the hat is beautiful :)

Good luck with your sawing project and have a great new year!

  6. Beautiful place, looks so green and peaceful and I love your outfit!

  7. Congrats on your anniversary! Very gorgeous place and I love your dress!
